This explains what Brainzie Musterpoint knows about you, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Who we are

Brainzie Musterpoint is operated by Brainzie Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at hello@brainzie.co.uk.

2. The data we process

When you sign in we receive your verified email address, and we use it only to identify you and to decide what you are allowed to see. We do not receive your password.

Beyond that, we hold the information you and your organisation put into the app in order to provide it. It is stored on infrastructure we control and is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.

3. Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how many people use Brainzie Musterpoint and how much — so we can improve it — we record simple, anonymous usage events (for example "a session happened" or "a feature was used") together with a count. Each event is tagged with a one-way, salted cryptographic hash of your identifier (or a random anonymous id), which lets us count distinct users and returns but cannot be reversed to identify you. We never send any of your actual content to analytics. This data is stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine as aggregate, anonymous metrics.

Website visits

On this website (the pages you are reading now, not the app) we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and collects no personal data: we see only anonymous, aggregate numbers such as page views, the site that referred a visit and the country it came from.

4. Why we are allowed to process it

  • To perform our contract with you — providing the app and the account you signed in to.
  • Our legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, and improving it using anonymous, aggregate usage data that cannot identify you.
  • Your consent, where it is required and you have given it.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data and never will. We rely on a small number of trusted processors purely to run the service: Microsoft (sign-in and hosting) and Cloudflare (hosting and anonymous analytics). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses apply.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account data for as long as you have an account, and for as long afterwards as the law requires. Anonymous usage data is retained only in aggregate and contains nothing that identifies you.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and equivalent laws you have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold, to object to or restrict our processing, and to data portability. Contact hello@brainzie.co.uk and we will action your request. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data protection authority.

8. Children

Brainzie Musterpoint is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
